Wet Riser Systems

A wet riser system provides a water supply pipeline to various points of a building and is pre-charged with water at all times.

This means that when the fire services connect to their hoses to the inlets, water is available almost immediately at the outlets which may be several floors above ground.

Wet risers are only usually required where the highest floor is 30.5 meters above the fire appliance access level.
